Back with version three, I have ten more examples of both big brands and startups executing partnerships in the name of growth. A few quick observations from this recent set of deals:
- A clear pattern in these examples involves adding depth to product offerings while increasing the customer experience (Spotify/StubHub, NHL/GoPro, ESPN/Tilt, Twitch/Indie Labels, Rhapsody/Twitter).
- Three examples are quite creative, establishing unique partnership parameters we don’t see every day (Waze/Boston, Roadie/Waffle House, Sonarqube/Codehaus).
- The Amazon and TaskRabbit deal is the shocker of this group, particularly because Amazon doesn’t typically team up with startups like this. In fact, I’m gonna write a separate post about it and how it helps make a larger point on how partnerships can help accelerate the MVP process. (EDIT: Here it is.)
